Nepal's Chance at 2015 Cricket World Cup

Can Nepal follow Afghanistan's fairytale example and join the big boys at Crickets premium contest come 2015 Cricket world cup in Australasia?

Every Nepalese heart screm "They can". Nepal will take on strong teams , Netherland, Scotland,Canada, Kenya, UAE, Namibia, Uganda, PNG and HongKong in the upcoming 10 team Qualifier event in Newzealand in early 2014. Teams that secure top 4 place get the ODI status until 2019 and top 2 team will secure the Glory to World Cup Berth. Things are not going to be easy for Nepal though. Half of the teams that Nepal is going to contest have already played in atleast 1 world cup, and most importantly Newzealands fast and bouncy pitches and condition wont favour the Nepalese team adept at Sub-continent condition and whose strong faculty is spin bowling. Yet again, Captain Paras Khadka is asked to shoulder a load of expectation being the most reliable batsman of the team whose batting has proved fragile and inefficient most of the time. Its high time Young batsmen like Subash Khakurel, Gyanendra, Prithu and Airee proved themselves. Fast bowling seems problematic. No tested and proven fast bowler is present in our team , that too in conditions favouring fast bowling, anyway fingers crossed for match winning performance from Karn and Saud. Having said so, Shakti Gauchan's vast experience and his skills will hopefully come to good use. All in all the odds are against us, but if Nepal plays its best ,then it wont be surprising to see Nepalese team playing in stadium such as SCG, MCG, WACA against big boys of Cricketing world come 2015.
