COLORS MOBILE LAUNCHES X21 WAVE

Priced at just under NRs. 5200 (US $ 55) and running Android 4.4 Kitkat OS, Colors Mobile hopes to take the budget smartphone segment by storm with the the recently lauched X21 Wave.
It features 3.5" HVGA screen, 3MP rear Camera and a VGA front camera for taking selfie. It is powered by 256MB RAM and 1.2 GHz Dual core processor. Its not ideal for playing games, however it is able to  smoothly run all the essential applications like UC browser, Youtube, etc.Even games like temple run 1, candy Crush and Talking Tom run without any noticeable lag. Dual sim is the norms for the smartphone maker in this part of the world and X21 does come with dual sim support. Micro USB Data cable, Charger, Manual, Warranty Card, Earphone and extra backcover comes off the box. The usable internal storage is only 300MB , however it supports Micro SD Card upto 32 GB which is more than enough for media and application use.

On reviewing the products hands on, we found following Pros and Cons and came to our own conclusion of whether this cheap handset really performs or not.

Pros:
1. Cheap
2.  Long battery backup of upto a week on minimal use and over 2 days using extensively.
3. Basic application runs smoothly.
4. Kitkat version of Android makes it more efficient.

Cons:
1. Screen Display is dissapointing, viewing angle is really limited.
2. Using demanding apps cause the device to lag.
3. Camera is poor, even though it comes with flash, but the photos are worse than those taken on old 1.5         MP Nokia phones.

For basic use to running apps like Facebook, youtube, radio and music, this device can hold on its own. For most part like battery backup, smooth operation, it punched above its weight. However dissapointment awaits you if you expect anything more. If you're constraint by budget, but still wants near latest Android Software and expect to use only for call, message, Few social media and watching few Youtube Videos, this device may be for you.
