cricket:introduction

Cricket is a bat-and-ball sport played between 2 teams, with 11 players in each team(by international standard) on an oval field.

Cricket is often referred to as the 2nd most popular sport in the world after the certain football or soccer.
The rule of the game is simple. One team bats, trying to score as many runs as possible while the other team bowls andfields, trying to dismiss the batsmen and thus limit the runs scored by the batting team.
a run is scored by hitting the ball with the bat and running to the opposite crease without being dismissed.
But there is more to the rule of the sport than meets the eyes.its a very complicated sport for the starter. The Laws of Cricket are maintained by theInternational Cricket Council (ICC) and the Marylebone Cricket Club (MCC).
Unlike other sports, cricket has many formats, internationally it's played across 3 formats, test matches, one day matches and twenty-twenty matches.but the basics of the sport is same, trying to outscore the opponent.
The history of cricket dates back to the 16th century and is believed to have begun from southern England.
the governing body of the game of cricket is International Cricket Council(ICC) and has 10 full members and more than 100 associate and affiliate members. The 10 full members are elligible to play test matches while the other play only one-day,t20 and first class games.
